NAV concludes Information and Networking Program for Nurses

Nepalese Association of Victoria (NAV) was supported by Didi Bahini Samaj Victoria (DBSV) and Consulate General Office of Nepal to Victoria to conduct a very fruitful program for student and graduate nurses in Melbourne on 29 May 2016. Senior nurses of Nepali background Laxmi Pokhrel, Anamika Rai and Jamuna Parajuli provided very useful information for student and graduate nurses to plan their career ahead. The information shared was also useful for students in Nepal who are planning to study nursing degree in Australia. Dr Colleen Rolls, Nurse educator provided valuable information on challenges faced by international nursing students. Cathering Wright, a representative of Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation explained various challenges student and registered nurses may face and various ways ANMF can help. Espandan Karki, a registered migration agent gave a succinct description of  migration issues pertaining to nurses.
