NAV Bal Diwas 2019

Nepalese Association of Victoria thanks all the kids and their parents for their participation and performance in #NAVBalDiwas2019 on 15th of September, 2019.

This program was attended by more than 250 kids mostly primary and secondary school-age children who did an extremely good job in performing various acts.

We also acknowledge the contribution of NAV Bal Chautari Preston, NAV Bal Chautari West, Bal Vatika Epping /Wollert, Craigieburn Nepalese language school, Bal Sansar Glenroy, Hamro Nepali Pathshala Melbourne and Bhutanese Nepali Ethnic School Melbourne in today’s program.

The program featured various Cultural Activities, Cultural Fashion Parade, Talent Show, Kids Speeches, Quiz Contest, Drama, Face Painting and Games

During the program, NAV recognised and honoured VCE Graduates from the Nepalese community for their hard work and achievement. Also praised two of the young Victorians Nepalese Mr Spandan Thapa and MS Yangchi Lama who won the Silver Medal at the prestigious Australian Taekwondo Nationals 2019.

The program was attended by parents and children from various corner of Melbourne. The program’s chief guest was Hon Consulate General of Nepal to Victoria Mr Chandra Yonzon, NRNA Australia President Mr Keshav Kandel, DBSV President Jamuna Parajuli, Past Presidents of NAV Mr Ranjan Baidhya, Mr Bom Yonjan, Dr Anupam Pokharel and other community leaders and members.

NAV makes a special note that it was Mr Ranjan Baidhya’s team that started celebrating Bal Diwas in Melbourne in 2004.

NAV sincerely thanks all the volunteers for their kind help. Especially all the school’s coordinators. As a matter of fact, all the parents supported us as volunteers. We must take special note of a few persons who took full responsibility for specific tasks. Master of ceremony an amazingly talented kid Pooja GURUNG along with Smriti Luitel, Christina Anu, Pratyush Adhikari and Vesna Giri. Face painter Angila Chapagain, Barsha Bhandari and Arpana Gautam, Susmita Kharel in decoration, Quiz contest coordinator Mr Samir Raghubanshi, Speech coordinator Tara Bhattarai, Games coordinator Parvathy Upreti, parade coordinator Rita Panta, Ruchee Gautam & Hary Khadka and all the Nepalese language school coordinators were volunteers, without whose support we would have struggled.

NAV thanks Aussizz Group – Migration and Education consultant as an Event Partner, Big Belly Restaurant and bar, and Melbourne Photo project for their generous support.

In the end, while we tried our best to run this program, we apologize for shortcomings, which we will try to rectify next time.
