Governing Body Of Nepalese Community Language Schools Formed

Nepalese Association of Victoria has formed a governing body of Nepalese community Language Schools under the Chairmanship of Prem Raj Upreti President Nepalese Association of Victoria . There are currently five Schools under NAV. NAV Balchautari West,NAV Balchautari NorthNAV Bal Chautari – Wyndham ,NAV BalChautari Doreen Mernda, NAV BalChautari South East . More than 300 students (children )age from 4 – to 12 are currently enrolled in these schools.

The body has appointed Mr Krishna Chalise as member secretary and DrYakindra Timilsena as finance manager whereas DrRaju Adhikari and Mr Chet Raj Dhakal two leading personalities of Nepalese community as an educational Expert .The body would include two representatives from each School . Membes are Mr Prakash Regmi Mr Prakash Chalise,Mr Sushil Chalise,Mr Hem Raj Pant, Mr Manoj Dhungana Mrs Nirupama Pandey,Mrs Shiba Itani Mr Bhaskar Regmi and Mr. Bhishm Pathak . The purpose of the body is to manage and administer Nepalese language schools in a more sustainable and unified way given the current increasing presence of Nepalese diaspora and associated challenges in Victoria.

Nepalese Association of Victoria started language schools in 2013 with an aim to promote Nepali language and culture in children living in Victoria.
