NAV Bal Diwas 2018: Celebrating our future
According to Nepali Calendar, Bal Diwas is celebrated on Bhadra 29 (August – September). Marking this day nationally began after Nepal signed the child rights agreement with the United Nations. It has been celebrated nationally since then in the honour of children and minors. The occasion also highlights and promotes the rights, care and education of children.
Sticking to our objective to preserve Nepalese culture and heritage, NAV has been celebrating Bal Diwas annually since 2005. Last year, more than 150 children took part in NAV Bal Diwas 2017 engaging in various workshops, talent show and performances. This year, NAV is collaborating with various Nepalese Community language schools with an attempt to make Bal Diwas bigger and better. The event will be full of entertainment with cultural parade and performances, talent show, quiz contest, and fun games. Moreover, it is an opportunity for the Nepalese children in Victoria to enjoy and immerse in the richness of our cultural essence.
We would be honoured to have you as our guest on this program of the Nepalese Community.
